If we were to tell you there existed an all-natural herbal supplement, used for centuries to treat various ailments, that could help you lose weight, control your appetite, and help your body become leaner and healthier, what would you say? Would you be skeptical of such claims, and think this was yet another diet scam designed to lighten wallets instead of body fat?

What if we were to tell you that trusted resources like 60 Minutes, ABC NEWS, and Oprah Winfrey have done extensive reports on this wonder product?

Because they have. Because there does exist such a diet supplement. It is Hoodia Gordonii, and it is currently available in its purest form as part of the Compuslim line of weight loss products.

Oprah Winfrey touts hoodia in OMagazine

Deep in the heart of Southern Africa’s Kalahari Desert may lie the secret to weight loss. An article about the benefits of hoodia gordonii appeared in the July, 2005 issue of Oprah's magazine.

Though it is widely known that Oprah Winfrey has had weight issues over the years, and has touted her own methods of success on her television program, this article provided an informative, unbiased look at hoodia gordonii and the efforts to market the plant extracts to the United States. As of this writing, while Oprah has given the supplement good exposure, it is unknown as to whether she has used or is using hoodia.

Lesley Stahl of 60 Minutes tries hoodia

The November 21, 2005 episode of 60 Minutes featured a segment on hoodia gordonii. Reporter Lesley Stahl sampled hoodia in its rawest form and revealed that she felt no side effects from the plant, and that her appetite was lessened as a result.

Hoodia on ABC NEWS

A new diet pill made from an African cactus is getting a lot of attention because those who've tried it say it takes away your hunger...

Reports on hoodia gordonii have appeared on ABC affiliates across the country.

Hoodia on the BBC

BBC correspondent Tom Mangold reported on the effects and growing interest in hoodia for a segment for BBC News. He talks of an experiment where a sampling of users were given hoodia and others a placebo:

When the first human clinical trial was conducted, a morbidly obese group of people were placed in a "phase 1 unit", a place as close to prison as it gets.

All the volunteers could do all day was read papers, watch television, and eat.

Half were given Hoodia, half placebo. Fifteen days later, the Hoodia group had reduced their calorie intake by 1000 a day.

Hoodia on Today

Eat it and you won't want to eat anything else — a secret bushmen have known for ages and a mystery to the West no more. In October, 2005 Katie Couric hosted a news segment about hoodia gordonii.

Why is hoodia gordonii receiving so much media exposure? What is it about this unassuming, prickly plant, growing in the arid climates of Africa, that is garnering all of this interest? What makes hoodia gordonii so special that it warrants more attention than other diet products and supplements on the market?

Hoodia Gordonii is all natural.

Hoodia Gordonii is simple to use.

Hoodia Gordonii has worked for the natives of Africa for centuries.

Hoodia Gordonii works today to control appetite!
