WAVE 3 TV revealed the final results of their three real-life hoodia success stories. The NBC television station recruited three hoodia hopefuls in late February. The participants took hoodia over a period of 12 weeks while WAVE 3 followed their progress.

The first of the three hoodia success stories was Fredericka Hargis who was hoping to lose 20 pounds during the period. While she only managed to lose 12 pounds, she was real happy with her progress.

The other hoodia success story was Kristian, a mom who struggled with late night munchies. During her 12 weeks taking hoodia she was “feeling good” and said she loved it. She said it made a huge difference. She initially lost an amazing 16 pounds in four weeks but then suffered an injury and had to take steroids which set her weight loss efforts back. In the end, she still ended up losing 13 pounds.

Finally, Aaron Ellis, WAVE 3’s assignment editor, also dropped 13 pounds. He said he felt a lot better and his clothes fit much better than they used to.

Not only did all three hoodia hopefuls successfully lose weight, but they didn’t experience any negative side effects.

Interestingly enough, all three said that hoodia was much more than an appetite suppressant. They said it was also a catalyst to a healthier state of mind.

My only “complaint” about this hoodia trial is that the reporter, Carrie Weil, didn’t provide any details as to what specifically these three hoodia hopefuls were doing. We don’t know how much hoodia they were taking, when they were taking it, or what other changes they may have made to their diet and exercise programs. It’s great to see real-life hoodia success stories, but as the saying goes, the devil is in the details.

The biggest surprise in these hoodia success stories is the brand of hoodia that was used. Weil reveals the brand they were using was Hoodia Dex-L10. I’m very surprised that these three participants had such success with a brand of hoodia that is inferior, in my opinion. I was hoping that the brand used was one of those listed on my best rated hoodia page.

If you read my Hoodia Dex-L10 review, you’ll see I’m not a big fan of this brand. I have a hard time believing it’s an authentic hoodia gordonii diet supplement as it failed an authenticity test by an independent lab.

Despite my low opinion of Hoodia Dex-L10, it obviously worked. What I’m most concerned about is that Weil obviously knows very little about hoodia gordonii. Instead of warning consumers that the majority of hoodia diet pills on the market are fake and that there are certain things to look for when you buy hoodia, she just tells her readers to look for Hoodia Dex-L10. As if to suggest that it is the only real hoodia supplement to trust. Again, as shown in my Hoodia Dex-L10 review, there’s a good possibility it doesn’t contain 100% authentic hoodia gordonii!

Why Weil would tell her readers to, “Make sure you look for Hoodia Dex-L10,” is beyond me. As a reporter, you would think she would be more ojective than that. By adding that one simple sentence in the story, it comes across sounding like a commercial for Hoodia Dex-L10 and shows an obvious bias for a brand she probably doesn’t know much about.
